Who is this course for?
This course is designed for workshops or technicians who are considering working with ADAS. The course will explore the safety features that are being implemented to progress towards autonomous driving. This course will cover the main sensors used within ADAS their function and application. Reasons to calibrate the ADAS sensors and an example of a procedure will also be covered.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites to attending VSB40 however trainees would benefit from attending WTE1 and VSC28.

Attainment

  • To better understand the interconnectivity of modern safety systems and driver aids
  • Trainees will have an overview of the various ADAS sensors, and their application
  • Trainees will see how to use the KTS, to carry out a comprehensive vehicle search of ADAS systems
  • Trainees will have an understanding of the test equipment required for ADAS service tasks
  • Trainees will see the set up and calibration process of a modern ADAS sensor
