SEG Level 2 Award in MOT Testing (Class 4&7)

The Level 2 Award in MOT Testing is a lifetime qualification, which means that it will not expire, and holders will be considered professionally competent for the rest of their lives.

Course duration is 4 days with a minimum of 8 hours practical training.

Over the 4 days you will receive 29 hours of guided learning, of which 8 hours will consist of practical training. Once you have passed the online assessment at the end of day 4, we’ll visit your place of work and carry out a Practical Assessment of you completing an MOT Test, this will take an additional 2-3 hours.

Each day runs from 9am till 5:30pm, please arrive 10-15mins before 9am each day so the course can start on time.

We recommend that you practice your MOT Test routine for 2 weeks before we visit to carry out the practical assessment.

• How to carry out pre-test checks for a statutory periodic roadworthiness test
