ABOUT THIS COURSE

The content of this qualification has been designed to give the learners the knowledge required to work safely around vehicles containing ADAS technology. It contains one mandatory unit covering:

  • The types of ADAS systems and sensors available and health, safety, and legal requirements
  • The basic interaction between ADAS systems associated with vehicle powertrain, steering and braking systems
  • The potential impact on the correct operation of vehicles fitted with ADAS systems by inappropriate actions of individuals
  • The appropriate action to take should damage be caused to an ADAS system or as a result, learners successfully completing this qualification will acquire significant core knowledge and skills and the ability to work safely and calibrate ADAS sensors.
