IMI Level 3 Technical Specialist in Automotive Refrigerant Handling (Award)

This 1-day course is designed to cover the aspects of air-conditioning systems including:

• Legislation Regarding F-Gas
• The Greenhouse effect
• Environmental issues regarding F-Gas
• The principles of refrigeration
• A/C System – Construction and Function
• Safety precautions and procedures
• Handling of Refrigerant
Procedures for recovery of refrigerant
• Additional Service preparation and precautions

Practical demonstrations for refrigerant recovery, recycling, recharging and operation is included.

The assessment for the AC1 -IMI Level 3 Technical Specialist in Automotive Refrigerant Handling (EC842-2006) (Award) ID – 610/3967/6 will include the handling of refrigerant to and from a vehicle system along with an on-line test.
