Overview

IMI Level 3 Award in MOT Test Centre Management :MOT3

This qualification is primarily developed for learners who wish to run an MOT Vehicle Test Station (VTS), or who will have direct responsibility for MOT operations at the VTS in the future. This qualification will be of interest to those individuals wishing to set up an MOT testing Station, or who may already be an MOT Tester and wish to advance their career further

Course Content

  • Managing the legislative & compliance requirements of a VTS
  • Test centre quality systems and audits
  • Developing and supervising staff within a test centre
  • Dealing with customer service problems and complaints

    Prerequisites

  • There are no formal entry requirements for this course.
  • The mandatory pre learning in your registration confirmation email must be completed prior to attending the course.

    Remember to complete and email an IMI Candidate Registration Form to [email protected] at least 5 days prior to the course.
    Failure to do so may result in not being able to undergo the course.

    Attainment

  • The content of this qualification has been designed to cover the requirements for all prospective MOT Managers
  • It is based on the suite of National Occupational Standards (NOS) developed by the IMI in conjunction with DVSA and the MOT industry in 2015
