Eligibility Requirements
To enrol on this DVSA-recognised qualification for motorcycle MOT testing, you must meet the following criteria:

• Age
You must be at least 18 years old
• Driving Licence
You must hold a full UK driving licence for the class of vehicle you intend to test (Class 1 and/or Class 2)
• Employment
You must have a minimum of 4 years’ full-time employment in servicing and repairing motorcycles or scooters
This experience must be practical and hands-on, not administrative
• Good Character
No unspent convictions for serious criminal or motoring offences
Not currently suspended or disqualified from MOT testing by the DVSA

Course Content Overview
This qualification allows technicians to become authorised MOT testers for motorcycles and scooters (Classes 1&2). It covers the skills and knowledge needed to carry out motorcycle inspections in line with DVSA regulations.
