IMI Level 1 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Awareness

This course is designed for anybody who wishes to gain the fundamental knowledge and skills required to work alongside EV/Hybrid Vehicles. The course covers the essential principles of hybrid and electric vehicle technology, including battery systems, levels of autonomy, power electronics, and electric motors. The course includes classroom/theory training utilising training aides.

Course Content

Upon completion of the course, participants should be able to:
• Understand the basic principles of hybrid and electric vehicle technology, including battery systems, power electronics, and electric motors
• Understand the safety implications of working with high-voltage electric and hybrid vehicle systems and perform safe working practices
• Understand the differences between hybrid and electric vehicle systems and internal combustion engines and how to work alongside them
