IMI Annual MOT CPD (Class 4&7)

This course is designed for current MOT testers testing Group B vehicles (class 3, 4, 5 and 7).

The course will cover the 2025 – 2026 CPD topics and log annual training for the year followed by the Annual Assessment required to comply with DVSA requirements and retain the Nominated Tester status.

It will also provide delegates with the opportunity to enhance skills when sourcing information quickly from both the MOT Testing Manual & MOT Testing Guide. The pass mark for the annual assessment is 80%.

Content
The 2025-2026 CPD topics covered during the training includes:

Electric, Hybrid/Mild Hybrid vehicles and Disabled driver controls and vehicle modifications
• Identification of the vehicles
• Hybrid vehicle emission testing
• Jacking electric vehicles if the beam jack does not extend past the battery pack
• Identification of high voltage cables (not all are orange)
• Health and safety around electric vehicles
• Guidance on testing electric and hydrogen fuelled vehicles
• Disabled driver controls in addition to normal controls
• Road testing adapted vehicles
• Fuel caps, flaps
