Eligibility Requirements
To enrol on this DVSA-approved qualification, you must meet the following criteria:
• MOT Tester Status
You must be a currently authorised MOT tester (for any vehicle class: 1, 2, 4, 5, or 7)
• Annual Requirement
DVSA requires that you complete your annual training and pass the online assessment by 31 March each year
• Assessment Completion
You must pass the DVSA MOT Annual Assessment (multiple choice, topic-based) to continue testing
Your training must cover the DVSA’s specified topics for the current year
• Lapsed Testers
If you miss the deadline, you may need to complete a demonstration test at a DVSA approved site before returning to testing
• This course is essential to maintain your MOT tester status and protect your ability to work legally and confidently in your role
