Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Technology (IMI Techsafe CPD) :VSH29

This course is designed for vehicle technicians who hold a current EV qualification but require CPD to maintain their IMI Techsafe status. The course will contain information on the various different systems fitted with plenty of time for practical tasks. Trainees will have the opportunity to carry out multiple isolation procedures, carry out some HV system diagnosis and build part of an EV charging circuit.

Prerequisites

Trainees must hold a level 2, 3 or 4 qualification in hybrid/EV repair/maintenance to take part in the practical tasks.

Attainment

• Gain IMI Techsafe CPD for 3 years
• Understand charging strategies
• Understand different isolation procedures
• Gain a basic understanding of Hydrogen fuel cells
• Gain a basic understanding of induction motors
