Who is this course for?
This course is designed for workshop technicians who would like to learn a little more about engine fundamentals and measurements. Due to lack of use we have found that this fundamental knowledge can be lacking, however, it is still very much required and critical information for successful completion of our diagnostic technician assessment.

• Four stroke cycle and valve timing
• Engine construction and design
• Measurement units, terms and tooling
• Measuring practical

There are no prerequisites for attending this course.

Attainment
On successful completion of VSTD52, delegates will:
• Understand the fundamentals of engine design and process
• Understand and be able to use the correct tooling and measurement values when carrying out diagnostics on an engine or other component
