This module is designed to equip mechanics and body repair technicians with the essential knowledge of the CAN bus system, a key communication protocol used in modern vehicles. Participants will learn how the system operates, how to read and interpret data from it, and how to effectively diagnose and fix common CAN bus issues, such as short circuits, high resistance, and communication errors. The course covers the use of diagnostic tools, including oscilloscopes and multimeters, to identify faults and ensure proper communication between vehicle components. By the end of this training, participants will be confident in troubleshooting CAN bus problems and maintaining the functionality and safety of a vehicle’s electronic systems.
