Automotive Air conditioning Systems Diagnosis:VSB26
This course provides crucial knowledge regarding the servicing of vehicle air conditioning systems as well as the required underpinning knowledge and practical skills for technicians who are planning to carry out the assessment for refrigerant handling certification. EU legislation requires certification for all technicians involved in the servicing, recharging and repairs to vehicle air conditioning in passenger cars and light vans.
The air conditioning technician assessment for certification is conducted separately from this course and is granted to candidates who successfully complete the Bosch assessments AC1RHA or ATA Refrigerant Handler.
Course Content
• Mandatory legislation, health and safety procedures
• Introduction to air conditioning
• Refrigeration systems TXV and FOT
• Air conditioning system components
• Service equipment and procedures
• Safe handling of refrigerant and environmental concerns
Prerequisites
• While the course content covers all the required subjects in detail, it is an advantage if delegates have some prior knowledge of the operation of automotive air conditioning systems and the typical service equipment used

Attainment
On successful completion of VSB26, delegates will be able to:
• Identify all the main components of an automotive air conditioning system and state their function
• Complete a typical automotive air conditioning service using a Bosch Air Conditioning recovery unit and demonstrate safe working practices
