Over two intensive days, attendees will delve into topics such as CAN bus networks, complex circuit diagrams, and deciphering diagnostic trouble codes and Electronic Control Units (ECUs). Ideal for those who have completed the Foundation Electrics Course or are experienced diagnostic technicians seeking to enhance their proficiency and progress further in their careers.
Course Overview
This course covers:
- Foundation recap
- Identifying and testing components including sensors
- Introduction to CAN bus and how to read test
- Fault finding through use of equipment and guided diagnosis
- How to determine the meaning of DTC’s and how to follow procedures to support diagnosis
- Live testing using a multimeter, determining data to support fault diagnosis
- Live testing using an oscilloscope, determining data to support fault diagnosis
- Introduction to fuel injectors and typical readings to observe
- Introduction to ECU’s how they communicate together and common faults

This course is suitable for anyone who has completed foundation electrics or is already a diagnostic tech who may be looking to progress further.
