IMI Levels 2/3/4 Awards in Electric/Hybrid Vehicles Package

This course is an amalgamation of the Level 2/3 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair & Replacement course and the Level 4 Award in the Diagnosis, Testing & Repair of Electric/Hybrid Vehicles & Components.

Designed for technicians who maintain and repair electric/hybrid high voltage vehicle systems and components. It contains the knowledge and skills required to work on live high voltage vehicle electrical components and associated systems. This may include vehicles that may have or had damage to their high energy/electrical system.

Content

The course contains three units EV2.2, EV3 and EV4.

EV2.2 covers all the skills and knowledge from IMI Level 2 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicles Routine Maintenance Activities.

EV3 covers skills in:

• Working safely on an electric/hybrid vehicle
• Using information to carry out the task
• Carrying out repairs on high energy electrical systems
• Recording information and making suitable recommendations

Completion of EV4 requires additional assessment: Practical assessments, oral assessments and written assessment.

On completion, technicians will be able to practically demonstrate that they have the skills required to repair high voltage vehicle electrical components and systems.
