Overview
IMI Level 3 Accreditation – Light Vehicle Inspection Technician – Training :LVINT
The aim of this training course is to equip the candidate with the key fundamental knowledge for them to undertake the IMI LV Inspection accreditation with confidence.
The IMI LV Inspection accreditation has been designed to replace the NTTA (that was delivered by DVSA and is no longer available) and is for vehicle technicians who, for whatever reason do not have the relevant qualifications for them to directly assess the MOT NT (Nominated Tester) training.
Successful completion of the LV Inspection accreditation will enable the candidate to progress into NT training and ultimately become an MOT Tester.

The two day training course will provide an overview of the following topics:
Prerequisites
We recommend that for the candidate to get the most out of this training course they have experience of, and are familiar with, the day to day service & repair procedures used within the motor trade.
Remember to complete and email an IMI Candidate Registration Form to [email protected] at least 5 days prior to the course.
Failure to do so may result in not being able to undergo the course..
Attainment
On successful completion of the LVINT training course, candidates will have the underpinning fundamental knowledge to enable them to partake in the IMI LV Inspection assessment which in turn will allow them to move forward into the formal NT training program.
